Hiring a Husband & Wife photography and videography team has home ground advantage
Code language
We’ve been working weddings together since 2015. We even have our own code language! Our equipment has nicknames for quick communication. Then there’s the non-verbal signals if we need to communicate during a wedding.
Working together
Neither of us have to miss the winning shot, as we do get a little closer to each other than two strangers. :-D We love bouncing creative ideas off each other. We both have a good understanding of what the other person needs to get their job done. For instance, static stances doesn’t work for video. Footage needs movement. Photography, on the other hand needs to capture that perfect moment. We try to remain aware of where the other person is so we don’t get in each other’s frame. We debrief after ever wedding, so we are only a better team at the next wedding.
Growing together
Yes, we are geeks. Sometimes couple time for us is testing a new technique. In that way, we grow together, creatively and professionally!
Less work for you
Having both your services through one company means less paper work for you. We’ll consolidate our questions and it’s one less company to feed information to.
More resources
We are often buying little things that the other person can use. Lights mainly. Which just means we have a few extra tricks in our bags…literally. Photography includes an assistant but often they will help with the videography too. For instance, during the ceremony, our assistant is not required for photography, so they will man one of the video cameras.
